For Shorts animators
From 1 February 2027, Shorts revenue sharing needs 10 million views every 90 days, and new channels need 20 million to join at all. That is YouTube's call to make. What you earn from the audience you already built doesn't have to depend on it.

YouTube announced the change on 10 August 2026. First revision of its revenue sharing since 2018.
